Yes! Our vessels are all inspected and certified annually by both Transport Canada and the US Coast Guard.
In the winter months, all of our boats are taken out of the water for annual maintenance. The vessels, engines, jets and all mechanical systems are inspected, tested, and repaired. (They also get a fancy new paint job!)
All of our Captains have a Masters Limited License for vessels under 60 tonnes. Prior to certification, they go through extensive training, including 680 hours on-water, Marine First Aid and Marine Emergency Duties Vessel Safety. Our Captains are prepared with the knowledge and skills to prevent shipboard incidents, and prepare and respond effectively to onboard emergency situations.
They are all certified by Transport Canada.
All activities of this kind do come with inherent risk, however, we are proud to say that we have been operating safety, with no serious injuries, for over 30 years. To ensure your safety and the safety of others, please follow all directives from our Captain and Crew while on our tour.
