Our Guest Services Agents are the first team that our guests meet, whether on the phone or checking in at the front desk – and first impressions are always important. They are our human encyclopedias and have the answer to any jetboating question. For this position you must have a natural talent for customer service and love meeting new people (and getting them excited for the ride of their life!). If chatting is what you do best, you’ll fit in perfectly.

RETAIL & CONCESSION SALES AGENT

Order up!

Our Retail & Concession Sales Agents are the perfect mix between barista and sales person (is that even a thing? Here, it is!) With rotating shifts between our River Shop Café and Retail Desk, they’ll be brewing coffees one day and helping guests pick out souvenir sweaters the next day. If you love interacting with people and thrive in a position with variety, this may be the perfect job for you. For this position you must have a natural talent for customer service and are skilled at selling lots of magnets. The ability to brew the perfect cappuccino is considered an asset.

Our Janitorial and Maintenance Agent will attend to the cleaning and general maintenance of our Lewiston NY facility. We're looking for someone who has perfected the art of vacuuming and has excellent attention to detail. The goal is to create the cleanest and most welcoming environment for our guests, which is a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation. If you love chit-chat, keeping things sparkly clean and the variety that comes with random odd-jobs, this might be the perfect position for you!

TRIP LEADER (WHITEWATER RIVER GUIDE)

Soaked and stoked!

The Whitewater River Guide (Trip Leader) is the right-hand and sidekick to our jet boat Captains. They work in the heart of the action, guiding our 45-minute jet boat tours of the Niagara River and Devil’s Hole Rapids. For this position, you must love meeting new people and speaking in front of crowds (and don’t mind getting your hair wet). The ability to make a good boat joke is considered an asset. Current First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred. All training is provided in-house for successful candidates.

DIGITAL MEDIA AGENT

Lights, cameras, action!

Our Digital Media Agents have the perfect mixture of creative flair and people skills. They capture and edit all of the photos and videos of our tours, for sale in our Retail River Shop. You may ask, ‘how do the guests look so good while getting pummelled in the face with water?’ It’s an art and our DMR Agents are the experts. For this position, you must like making people smile and have a love for the digital arts. The ability to take a photo while everyone has their eyes open is considered an asset.

The Dock Hand is the go-to guy or gal for our Captains and Trip Leaders. They assist with gear, passenger loading and all things jet boat maintenance – getting to enjoy all the action from the comfort of our jet boat docks. CAPTAIN - TRAINEE

Oh Captain, my Captain!

Our Jet Boat Captains have one of the most important roles at Whirlpool Jet. They operate our triple-turbo diesel vessels through our whitewater playground - the Class V rapids of the Niagara Gorge. A commitment to safety, professionalism (and taking guests on the ride of their lives!) is essential for this position. If you want to be the driver behind 1500 horsepower & 31,000 lbs of thrust, then this is the job for you! Current First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred but all training and certifications are provided in-house for successful candidates.

JUNIOR MARINE MECHANIC

Start Your Engines!

Reporting directly to the Head Engineer, the Junior Marine Mechanic will play a critical role as part of the Mechanics team. They will assist in the daily mechanics and maintenance of our fleet of 9 jet boat vessels, including but not limited to; maintenance of jet boat engines, jet drives, marine electronics, hydraulics and fire safety equipment. Previous mechanical experience specific to the marine industry is preferred but not required.

Our Rapid Transit Shuttle Drivers transport our guests from our ticketing location at the Floral Clock down to the jet boat docks in Queenston. If you love chatting up people from all over the world and getting them excited for the ride of their life (and can drive a shuttle bus), then this is the perfect job for you! The ability to memorize random facts about Niagara to entertain guests during the drive is considered an asset.
