ON RIVER POSITIONS

Captains – Qualified candidates will operate Transport Canada Inspected Passenger Vessels in the Niagara Gorge between one of our 3 Jet Boat departure points. They will navigate the Whirlpool rapids in a manner that ensures safety and security of crew and guests, enjoyment of our guests and respect for the environment. Our Captains have heavy public contact; therefore we are looking for individuals who can also provide superb customer service

Trip Leaders – Duties include safely guiding jet boat tours on the Niagra River, maintenance, repair and various on-shore duties. Boat staff must be personable, outgoing and well spoken. First Aid and CPR certifications are required. Fluency in other languages is also an asset. Training provided

OFF RIVER POSITIONS

Front Desk/Registration – Duties involve guests registration, handling cash and excellent customer service. Front desk staff must be detail oriented and competent at data entry. Sales experience and fluency in other languages are also assets we look for.

Reservations – Duties include answering multiple phone lines, answering inquiries about the jet boat trip as well as our hotel operations. Data entry and customer service. Ideal candidates will have previous telephone sales and data entry experience. Related sales experience and fluency in other languages are considered an asset.

Digital Media and Retail Agent – This department includes extensive use of digital imaging equipment such as DSLR’s, GoPros and photo/video editing computer software. New hires will be trained on editing video using programs such as Lightroom and Final Cut Pro X. Staff will develop expertise with photo/video hardware and software to produce high quality digital media in a fast paced environment. Staff will also take shifts in our retail department where they have constant interaction with guests. Customer service is essential therefore the ideal candidate should be well-spoken and have great customer service skills. Other duties include handling cash, opening and closing the river shop, and maintaining cleanliness of the river shop.

Social Media and Communications Assistant – Responsibilities include; communication and information exchange with local businesses, associations, clubs and partners, date entry, lead generation, monthly reporting, working with the Digital Media department to collect photo and video content, assisting with the implementation of the social media marketing calendar. Attendance and planning collateral distribution at local festivals and events as required/ the ideal candidate will have related experience in social media, marketing, tourism and communications/ Fluency in other languages is also considered an asset.

Housekeepers – Duties include general but thorough cleaning duties as well as light maintenance duties, i.e. changing light bulbs and laundry. Housekeepers must be efficient, meticulous and able to work with minimal supervision.

Custodial/Night Watchman – Duties to include nightly cleaning of facilities and light projects. Late check-ins of guests to our Inn and monitoring of surveillance systems for all facilities and docks.

Food and Beverage – Responsibilities include serving food and drinks, setting up tables, removing and cleaning used dishes, preparing simple dishes, operating a POS system and handling cash. must be smart serve certified.

Dock Supervisors – Daily maintenance checklists, boat logs in a timely manner. Ensure all river staff is in proper uniform at all times. Overseeing of all river staff duties before and after trip times. Overseeing and performing the cleaning and maintenance of vessels, hanging up wet river gear, ensuring that river staff perform timely and effective safety instructions prior to each trip. Ensure upkeep and inventory of all river related equipment including boat microphones, bilge pumps, ropes on dock and vessels, and passenger gear. Ensure general tidyness and cleaning of change rooms, grounds, parking lot and  buildings. Power-wash decking and garbage removal.

Bus/Shuttle Driver – Drive diesel-powered multi-passenger vehicles to transport guests and staff between docks and other multiple locations while giving narration of Niagara River using microphone equipment. Pick up and drop off passengers at regular scheduled locations, following strict timelines. Check the condition of your vehicles tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order. Safely load and unload passengers onto the bus. Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. Class C driver’s licence and Air Endorsement required

Parking Lot Attendant – Responsibilities include directing traffic and greeting guests, both individuals and groups. Guiding them through proper registration procedures

Accounts Receivable Clerk – Duties include invoicing clients for Jet Boat trips, organize and monitor outstanding balances, track courtesy coupons and calculate monthly totals. Assist in daily cash reconciliations, occasional mail runs and assisting Accounting Assistant and Business Manager with other duties as required.
