On our newly launched Historical Freedom Tour, guests will experience the incredible scenic views and fascinating history of the Niagara River, from Queenston to the mouth of Lake Ontario.
The 45-60 minute fully guided tour starts on the lower Niagara River and travels North towards the mouth of Lake Ontario, on our climate-controlled Freedom Jet vessel.
This river has seen 300 years of geological transformation, military history, major battles, smuggling (and so much more!) and is now the peaceful divide between Canada and the United States. On this tour, you’ll step back in time to see and learn about the historical and cultural events of Niagara and the River, including the War of 1812 and the Underground Railroad.
*This tour does not enter the Gorge – you will not go through the Class V rapids. All Historical Freedom Tours require a minimum of 15 guests to book and must be made through our Group Sales Department.

This tour is great for all ages 4+ (min. 40″) and is accessible for seniors. Tours are 45-60 minutes on the water. Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. A minimum group of 15 guests is required for booking. Our season operates from May to October.
